Most of us have an urge to take photos in front of iconic landmark wherever you happen to travel - standing in front of the Taj Mahal in India, Notre Dame in Paris, Big Ben in London, St Basils in Moscow, and so on. Happiness is always somewhere else, and we need proof that we have been there, that we have 'got the t-shirt'.

These images are a kind of antidote to travel photos, pictures of the interiors of the rooms where I stay.
