I'm a photographer based in Scotland, in Edinburgh. This site has my personal photo projects on it, if you’d like to see more of my commercial and editorial work then head over to Cro & Kow.

I lived in Moscow for 6 years during the ‘90’s when the country was transforming into wild capitalism (speak reasonable Russian), and spent much of my time in Ukraine where I have family ties in Kherson in particular, and bought a cottage there when it was just emerging as an independent state. Later I lived in Poland for 6 years (& speak bad Polish, apologies).

So my interests in photography projects are both my home of Scotland, and generally various countries and cultures of Easter Europe. I published my monograph ‘Expectations’ with Kehrer Verlag - which is a series of four visual poems about Ukraine before the current war. ‘Expectations’ is a reference to Ukraine being a ‘land of endless expectations’, a quote from a (Ukrainian) friend.

I welcome photo assignments whether in Scotland or in Eastern Europe - or elsewhere.
