The tourist cliche is the urge to take a photo of the iconic landmark wherever you happen to be - standing in front of the Taj Mahal in India, Notre Dame in Paris, Big Ben in London, St Basils in Moscow, and so on.

Happiness is always somewhere else, and we need proof that we have been there, that we have 'got the t-shirt'.
